Strawberry Pretzel Crumble Bars

Ingredients:

  • Strawberry Filling
    • 16 oz strawberries (1 large container)
    • 2 tablespoons sugar
    • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
    • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla paste or vanilla extract
  • Crumble & Crust
    • 1 cup of Hal’s pretzels crushed in food processor
    • 2 sticks of butter, melted
    • 1 cup brown sugar
    • 1 cup oats
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Add all the strawberry filling ingredients to pot and simmer for about 4 minutes on medium low heat.
  3. In a different pot, ass all crumble ingredients and mix well. Line an 8×8  oven safe dish with parchment paper and press 3/4 of the crumble to create an even base. Crumble the remaining 1/4 of crumble mixture to the top over the filling.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 or until top is golden brown. Let the bars cool completely before slicing so they don’t fall apart.
