Ingredients:
- Strawberry Filling
- 16 oz strawberries (1 large container)
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla paste or vanilla extract
- Crumble & Crust
- 1 cup of Hal’s pretzels crushed in food processor
- 2 sticks of butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup oats
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Add all the strawberry filling ingredients to pot and simmer for about 4 minutes on medium low heat.
- In a different pot, ass all crumble ingredients and mix well. Line an 8×8 oven safe dish with parchment paper and press 3/4 of the crumble to create an even base. Crumble the remaining 1/4 of crumble mixture to the top over the filling.
- Bake for 30 minutes at 350 or until top is golden brown. Let the bars cool completely before slicing so they don’t fall apart.
